We started our professional journey early in 1998 at a small premises in 54 Calle Padilla in Madrid with the clear and crucial aim of not competing with our catering neighbours. In fact, we planned to complement the fare that, with enviable quality and professionalism, they had been providing for many years.
At the small bar, we offer some light aperitifs and an interesting selection of wines, as well as the traditional drinks you would find in any bar. In the dining room, at midday, we enjoy a traditional three-dish Cocido Madrileño with an aperitif, dessert, coffee and a shot of liquor, a stand-alone menu with a set price all year round.
On Friday and Saturday nights we serve informal tapas dinners under the slogan “sharing is living” with an unusual menu of Cocido Madrileño leftovers. We replace the concept of starter, first and second course, etc, with mini dishes, pots, portions and bowls for 2, 3, 4 or more people, encouraging picoteo (trying small portions from many dishes) and shared tasting of a contemporary, imaginative, original and attractive cuisine.
Served at the centre of the table so that you can help yourself, with an open bar. As a welcome: A glass of Cava and a Cocido croquette.
Dishes: Pot of freshly made steaming broth with vermicelli. Our mouth-watering chickpeas, homegrown in Cabañas de Polendos (Segovia), new potatoes and fresh vegetables. All cooked al dente, with love. Yearling beef and chicken, chorizo, homemade black pudding, Iberian pork fat, pork knuckle and beef bone marrow.
Condiments: Virgen olive oil. Fresh tomato sauce with cumin and oregano. Pickled onions and Ibarra chili peppers. Basket of freshly baked bread. Jug of water and ice, Canal de Isabel II Madrid tap water.
Dessert: Homemade desserts and ice cream. Fresh fruit. Coffee, Decaf and Infusions.
Many customers ask if there is an option to eat our Cocido Madrileño at home… Of course!! There are two ways to do it:
Choose what you would like to eat and we will place it at the middle of the table so that you can enjoy an original and varied range of flavours derived from the Cocido Madrileño
There are three menus for groups composed of the most typical Casa Carola’s dishes, special for dinners with friends or family gatherings. However, you can modify to suit your desires.
The best Cocido Madrileño I've ever had, ideal for giving yourself a treat. A very close service but at the same time very elegant and courteous, they behaved great with us and the kids that were with us. Additionally, Cocido and the desserts were amazing, great quality and quantity, no hits.
I went to have lunch with my family last Sunday, at the second turn and, as always, they treated us great. Cocido quality is amazing, the soup was well-trimmed as we like and the meat was at the perfect point. Our favourite place in Madrid to have Cocido Madrileño. It's an experience for senses.
Their Cocido Madrileño is delicious. Highlight flavored soup, which is rare. Their treatment is even more magnificent. Careless, we did not book and it was all full. As we had to wait a bit (our fault) they fussed and apologized a thousand times, they even had a special attention with drinks. Simply magnificent.
High quality service, always worrying if we were comfortable. We spoke with the owner, really friendly and helpful. We ate well. I said I would write something and I can only say that when we return to Madrid, we'll be back!
Casa Carola is a tiny restaurante specialized in Cocido Madrileño, which is delicious. I can assure you will not leave hungry. Excellent quality. Simply perfect.
